The Pinery Homeowner’s Association is proud to announce our 9th Annual Art Show. The Pinery HOA wishes to attract as many people as possible to the show to see the beautiful artwork and have a day of fun. The show will be held in conjunction with the Pinery Picnic and Fishing Derby again this year.

Mark your calendars today for August 14 and plan to not only display your artwork, but sell it to the attendees and take orders too!  Art Show Entry Fee is only $25 for Pinery resident artists and $50 for non-resident artists. The fee includes a lunch. This is a fun day and a great way to meet artistic talent from all over the area as well as within our community.

Artist Selection We may be located in the Pinery Community, however, we INVITE artists from all areas to participate. We are looking for Artwork pieces only which would include, but not limited to: oil painting, acrylic painting, watercolor painting, drawings of various media, mixed media, photography, pottery, sculpture, glassware and custom gold & silver jewelry.

Pre-Selection of artists will be determined by July 24, 2010.

CaFE™ Artist Notification System

Posted on October 14th, 2009 in Call to Artists, News Notes

Dear CaFÉTM artist: cafelogo

Greetings! In an effort to continue in our commitment to provide the best possible experience for all CaFÉTM users, we have added a brand new communication feature to CaFÉTM. This new enhancement allows you to receive a weekly CaFÉTM e-mail that includes a list of new calls for entry and those with upcoming deadlines. You will receive the first weekly e-mail of listings shortly. Also, for applications that you have started but not yet submitted, you will receive an automated reminder two days before the deadline for that call–no more missed deadlines! You can also opt-in to receive postcard announcement mailings from some agencies that administer calls for entry through CaFÉTM.

https://www.callforentry.org/index.php

You can edit your communication preferences at any time by visiting your CaFÉTM user profile. Please note that your current settings have been set to a default of “opt-in.” If you wish to remove yourself from these communications, please log into CaFÉTM and change your communication preferences in the “My Profile” section. To learn more about CaFÉTM Communications, please take a look at our CaFE Communication Policy.

This new communication enhancement comes on the heels of our last enhancement, the CaFÉTM facelift! As you know, CaFÉTM’s pretty new home page now displays an at-a-glance rotating description of open calls. CaFÉTM also features a new and dynamic calendar of CaFETM opportunities. The next enhancement to the system will be a new and improved CaFÉTM Help section that will broaden the scope of assistance that is currently available on the site. Because artists and administrators have asked, the new help section will include video tutorials on image formatting and other functions related to working in CaFÉTM, in addition to greatly expanded informational and FAQ sections.

Additionally, we are in the process of developing a new and improved CaFÉTM system to ensure it continues to serve your needs in the best way possible. Aside from a greatly enhanced user-friendly administrative dashboard feature, the new system is also being designed with the following features, many of which have come from suggestions we have received from administrators and artists:

As part of this expansion, WESTAF is soliciting your advice and feedback on CaFÉTM. Our goal is to redeploy the system so that it even more effectively meets the needs of the public art field as well as other art communities served by CaFÉTM, and the best way to do that is with you! If you have any suggestions on how CaFÉTM could be improved, please tell us by sending an e-mail to cafe@westaf.org or by calling a CaFÉTM team member at WESTAF at 303-629-1166. Further, if you are interested in becoming more involved with our redevelopment efforts, please let us know!

Finally, while the new CaFÉTM platform is under development, we are pleased to announce a number of other enhancements that will be implemented in the short term to improve the current system. Forthcoming enhancements include:

* Improved search functionality for all calls for entry in the CaFETM system.
* Greatly enhanced online slideshow functionality for jury review, offering further improvements to the ways in which images will be displayed to jurors.
* Streamlined “Jury by Image” functionality. Applications submitted for calls that will be selecting individual artworks–rather than selecting an artist based on their body of work–will now have a more streamlined and intuitive functionality for both artists and administrators.

Thank you for using CaFÉTM! As always, please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions or feedback about our ongoing enhancements to the system.

Sincerely,
The CaFÉTM Team
