2nd Annual Rock the Arts

This is a great opportunity for local 2D artist to be able to display/sell artwork at The Outlets in Castle Rock, awards, juried show…not to mention the opportunity to have your artwork up on the LED sign for The Outlets off of I25..wow! In exchange, we are asking artist to donate a few supplies and their time to give an art lesson during the show. There are more details about this on the attached application.

Bellco Credit Union Parker Branch and The Parker Senior Center

Bellco Credit Union Parker Branch:

The artwork will be hung at the Bellco Credit Union Parker Branch on Saturday, May 19th from 10:00 am to 11 am, the reception for the artists displaying work and one guest will be Saturday, June 2nd 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm. This will also include the PAG board members (no guests) and the branch employees (no guests). Bellco Credit Union will provide the refreshments for the reception. Depending on the amount of response we get from PAG members that would like to display their 2D artwork will depend on how many pieces will be allowed per artist. Largest dimensions will be 30×40 including framing to keep it nice looking. All artwork will need to be family friendly. Bellco Credit Union will not collect a percentage for sales, but have recommended the selling artist donate 20% of their sales commission to PAG. Sales will be between the buyer and the seller only. Buyer may take the artwork from the venue once the seller has been paid, with this the seller will need to make sure to have a back up piece to replace their sold artwork.

Parker Senior Center:

Meeting at 1:00 to 2:00 this Sunday, April 29th to hang up artwork, going forward the change out will still be the last Friday for June, September an December at 5:30 pm to 6:30 pm, unless otherwise advised.

There is a large area in the finished/converted basement area where meetings and arts/crafts workshops are held. It has been graciously requested by the Parker Senior Center that 10% commission of sold artwork go to the Parker Artists Guild.

Call to Artists in the Grand Junction Area

Howard Alan Events announces a call to artists in the greater Grand Junction area for the upcoming Downtown Art Festival.

Local art guilds, leagues and organizations are asked to encourage local artists to apply and take part in the first annual Grand Junction Art Festival.  A $100 donation will be made to any organization who refers an accepted artist into the show.

Copper Mountain Art Show

You are invited to participate in the Copper Mountain Art Show held at Copper Mountain Ski Resort. The show is concurrent with the National Symposium for Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants and other medical professionals held at the resort. The symposium opens on Thursday morning and closes Saturday night.

If you are a current member of the Parker Artists Guild (PAG) you are automatically accepted. All others must be juried.

• Dates and hours: 7/12 12pm-6pm, 7/13 10am-6pm, 7/14 10am-6pm, 7/15 10am-3pm
• Thursday 7/12 and Sunday 7/15 are optional.
• Location: Copper Village central plaza, Copper Mtn Resort, Summit County, Co
• Set up is Wed 5pm-8pm, Thursday morning 7 to 11am. After unloading, please move your car from the plaza. All cars must be off the plaza by 9am.
• Tents must be securely weighted. Absolutely no staking. Spaces are a generous 11 x 11
• Application deadline: 5/15/12
• Notification is ongoing, within 2-3 weeks of application receipt.

CORE Gallery Annex is now available to rent

The CORE Gallery Annex is now available to rent for 3 week shows. It is on Santa Fe Drive in the Middle of Denver’s Art District with its well attended First Fridays and Third Friday Collector night.  More information is available on the website www.corenewartspace.com


Annex Rental includes website listing, press releases, cell phone tour recording, opening reception and complimentary gallery sitting.  I have been a member of CORE New Art Space for the last five years. It is a busy venue. Group shows are welcome. The Price is $550.
