“A Different View” artists receive recognition

An opening Reception was held on Wednesday, November 5, at the Mainstreet Center Gallery for PAG’s show “A Different View.”
Entries were judged by Margaretta Gilboy. Margaretta has a Master of Fine Arts degree from University of Colorado and has received numerous awards and grants, including the Eugene M. Kayden Colorado Arts Award. Her paintings are in many private and public collections, including those of the Denver Art Museum and the Philadelphia Museum of Art.
Shown here is Pam Belyea’s mixed media entry which received the “People’s Choice” award.
Juror Margaretta Gilboy awarded ribbons in the following categories;
Special “Judges Choice” ribbon went to Jo Ann Nelson.
Oil & Acrylics: 1st - Susan Nelson for “Hard Rock Cache,” 2nd - Margaret Swenson for “Reflective,” 3rd - Tadashi Hayakawa for “Rebirth.”
Mixed Media: 1st - Tadashi Hayakawa for “Garden of Infinity,” 2nd - Cindy Slater for “In the Moment,” 3rd -Barbara Wilson for “One Persons’ View.”
Watercolor: 1st - Pam Hostetler for “Iris,” 2nd - Barbara Wilson for “Misty Morning,” 3rd - Susan Merriman for “Maroon Bells.”
Photography: 1st - Judy Pendleton for “Reflections,” 2nd - Joe McDaniel for “Cup and Keyboard,” 3rd - Steve Nelson for “Hanging Out.”
