The first medium I ever utilized as an artist was a run of the mill number two pencil; however when using a pencil to draw something it transcends the simple notion of what a pencil really is. A pencil transforms into a tool to record a realm that can only exist in ones mind, that realm is imagination.

Since expressing myself as a child artistically I have not been able to stop doing art. From drawings, painting, and sculpture I have found so many different mediums since starting with the basic pencil. Creativity has become a component of my life, and is an aquifer that I draw from to reinvigorate my existence.

Art may mean something different to every individual, but it is a force that has existed for thousands of years in human culture. No one is immune to the beauty, grandeur, or awe of some form of artistic expression. I feel alive when I’m able to express myself artistically whenever I can.
