I’m a Colorado native and have been doing artwork most of my life. I feel I can express myself and bring out the personalities in portraits of people and animals. I work from photographs as a source of research, but don’t "copy" them. I like to use more than one photograph because it gives me a sense of the personality of who is in the portrait and I try to capture that personality in the painting or drawing.
My specialty is portraits, animals, landscapes and still life and I work in colored pencil, acrylics and pen & ink. I’m finding that abstract art is a lot of fun, and it can also be worked into some of my drawings and paintings as well
