Dwayne Flake & Chanone Roberts

Posted on April 21st, 2011 in Member Websites, Photography

Dwayne is originally from Georgia but after vacationing several times in Colorado, he loved the mountains, the sunshine and the culture and decided it was time to move out west. In 2002 Dwayne made Colorado his new home. Dwayne’s interest in photography started back when he was just twelve years old. His first camera was a Canon AE –1 that he spent months saving for and years trying to figure out how to use.

Chanone (pronounced Shannon) is a proud native of Colorado. Having grown up in such a scenic environment, her photographic curiosity was peaked after a class in high school. Chanone too started with a film camera and has an eye for capturing nature with a unique perspective. Black and white as well as macro are some of her favorite styles of photography.

Their work can be seen at dcphoto.co.

While attending the Academy of Art University in San Francisco Ian decided to take his love for video games and make it a career. After graduating with a Bachelors in Fine Arts for Computer Animation he found work at a local game development studio. Now with six (6) years working professionally as an Artist within the Video Game Industry and five (5) shipped titles, ranging from hand held to console to PC, he has worked with four (4) different studios. This experience has resulted in an advanced working knowledge of building a game from first concept, to final bug testing. Ian works on building team moral and communication through positive feedback. Along with creating worlds for players to explore as an Environment Artist, he loves to learn new software. Translating what he has learned, Ian then writes easy to follow, illustrated tutorials for his peers.
