Keith is a photographer, writer and retired airline captain. He grew up in West Africa and fell in love with the “wilder side of life” as he observed the “wild kingdom” all around us. He still travels the world in search of that “perfect” image.

Early in childhood, I was confident that becoming a fine artist would be a joyful and challenging experience. The passion to be creative is within myself as a person, and I work to continually convey this through my art. As a Colorado native, I strive to show viewers the beauty of our state’s natural resources. I love enhancing the light, colors, shadows, and textures which appear in and around subjects that I photograph and etch. I hope each person viewing my art, will gain a greater respect and appreciation for the natural world around them. I believe the following words of Henry Ward Beecher apply to myself as a fine artist:
“Every artist dips his brush into his own soul, and paints his own
nature into his paintings.”

I got into photography 3 years ago but only recently starting taking it a bit more seriously. Being someone with a technical background, I’ve always wanted some sort of creative outlet but could never find one that could keep my interest.
Since then photography has become an integral part of my life. I am an avid snowboarder, hiker, nature lover, and now add photographer to the list. I might actually rank photography ahead of hiking since I’ve often hiked into areas for photography I would have otherwise by-passed.
My goal is to capture the beauty surrounding us everyday – working to find images that so often slips past us in our daily lives.

Rita and Charlie Summers have been photographing wildlife since the 70′s. Their special interest led to the publication of “All the Wild Horses”, a book about wild horses around the world.
Favorite places to photograph include Africa and Antarctica. Charles was named BBC Wildlife Photographer of the Year in 1985. Rita uses her photography as reference for watercolor paintings.
