Our members are involved in many activities outside of the Guild. Whether they are volunteering for a worth cause or are making local headlines, we want to recognize their accomplishments.

Here you'll find newsworthy items to let you know how some of our members spend their time.

Bellco Credit Union Parker Branch:

The artwork will be hung at the Bellco Credit Union Parker Branch on Saturday, May 19th from 10:00 am to 11 am, the reception for the artists displaying work and one guest will be Saturday, June 2nd 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm. This will also include the PAG board members (no guests) and the branch employees (no guests). Bellco Credit Union will provide the refreshments for the reception. Depending on the amount of response we get from PAG members that would like to display their 2D artwork will depend on how many pieces will be allowed per artist. Largest dimensions will be 30×40 including framing to keep it nice looking. All artwork will need to be family friendly. Bellco Credit Union will not collect a percentage for sales, but have recommended the selling artist donate 20% of their sales commission to PAG. Sales will be between the buyer and the seller only. Buyer may take the artwork from the venue once the seller has been paid, with this the seller will need to make sure to have a back up piece to replace their sold artwork.

Parker Senior Center:

Meeting at 1:00 to 2:00 this Sunday, April 29th to hang up artwork, going forward the change out will still be the last Friday for June, September an December at 5:30 pm to 6:30 pm, unless otherwise advised.

There is a large area in the finished/converted basement area where meetings and arts/crafts workshops are held. It has been graciously requested by the Parker Senior Center that 10% commission of sold artwork go to the Parker Artists Guild.

PAG by 01/31/2012.   If space allows, registration for any other members will open on March 15.

The show will be a set up a bit different this year.  The committee will be setting the room up in a boutique stye instead of large boxy booths.  In order to do this, we will be setting up grids/panels in a 6 foot length with a grid on each end, thus forming a capital I.  Using your own grids is encouraged  providing they can be formed as stated.  There will be 13 grid spaces available using PAG grids. The committee will be setting up the gym Thursday evening.  If using your own grids, you may deliver them and set them up at this time.  No art will be delivered/set up/dropped off on Thursday night.  Another option will be table space for those who do not use grids to display their work.  You may use 2- 6 foot tables.  Please plan to provide your own.  The Mainstreet Center has tables, but they are in use in other areas much of the time.

Set up:  Friday, May 4 – 9:00 A.M. to 12:30 P.M.

Set up on Friday must be completed by 12:30 P.M.  Anyone arriving after 11:30 A.M.. will not be allowed to set up and will forfeit their entry fee.
