PAG Venues

PAG members have the opportunity to showcase their work in a variety of locations. We have agreements with a number of businesses and galleries in the area and regularly rotate the artwork being shown.

Each location has a member who acts as the Venue Coordinator. This person is responsible for getting new artists to show at the location, along with maintaining a good working relationship with the Venue itself.

If you are interested in showing your work, contact the Venue Coordinator listed for each location.

Art Size Limit: n/a The display wall is perhaps 10-12 feet wide. About 5 feet of wall height is available. Normally 10 - 12 medium sized paintings or images are necessary for a good display.

Mainstreet Gallery Call for Entries

Members are invited to submit entries into the September/October Mainstreet Gallery Show.

New Rules:  Do not mail or e-mail entry forms.  Bring the completed form with you when you deliver your art work.  Please attach a card with the following information to the front and also the back of each piece:  Title; Price; Medium; Name and phone number.  Please read the attached Gallery Guidelines and note the changes - Click here on guidelines and entry form.

 

Eligibility:

All Parker Artists Guild members working in two and three dimensional media are invited to enter.  All work must be original.  The gallery committee reserves the right to reject artwork not deemed suitable for a family oriented facility.

 

September/October 2008 Theme: Earth, Water, Wind & Fire”

 

Framing:  All two dimensional works must be wired and ready for hanging; no saw tooth hangers please.  

 

Number of Entries and Size:  Due to limited space, you may submit up to four paintings with a maximum combined total width of no more than 48”.  Oversized pieces may be hung at the discretion of the committee.

You may submit up to 3 bin pieces.  Please attach a card with the title, medium, price and your name and phone number to the back of each bin piece.

 

Important Dates:

           

Delivery of “Earth, Water, Wind & Fire” art works, and pick up current show:

Wednesday, September 10, 2008 -   8:30AM – 12:00 Noon at the Mainstreet Center  (If you are unable to deliver and pick up your artwork on the dates and times listed above, please make other arrangements.  Any late works will not be accepted.

 

Reception:  Wednesday, September 24, 2008 -   6:00PM to 8:00PM

           

Postcards for shows are available three weeks prior to the reception at the Mainstreet Center on the table by the west entry doors.  Please take at least 25 cards and mail or give out whether or not you plan to enter the show. 

 

Please Note:  Ribbons will be awarded in each of the eight categories listed on the entry form with the following exception:  if fewer than three different artists submit works for a category no ribbons will be given in that category.

Art Size Limit: You may bring up to 4 pieces, 2 if they are very large. All art has to be ready to hang with wire hangers and it is an open theme. Remember it is a family oriented venue. 20% commission beginning April 1st, artist direct sales. $3 hanging fee. Assorted subject matter.

Parker Senior Center

Change Outs: Every three months; generally second Mondays of October, January, April and July at 1:00 p.m.  The date may vary so contact Mary Ann (email address below) to make sure before delivering or changing art.

Beginning April 1st, there will be a 20% commission to PAG, artist direct sales.

The next change out on Monday, October 6, at 1:00 p.m., will have a theme of “America the Beautiful.” If this time does not work for you, let Mary Ann know and she will work something out with you.
