Call for Art: The Schoolhouse Gallery
We want to see the Best of the Best from the Parker Artists Guild!
We usually ask that the art you submit is something that has not been shown at the Schoolhouse before, but we will make an exception for this show. Even if your best artwork has previously been displayed at the Schoolhouse, it is eligible (unless it has been in a previous “Best of PAG” show in the past).
Submit the best images you can. Because the artwork will be accepted or rejected based on the images you enter, you will want to make sure they represent your artwork as perfectly as possible. (Jurors tend to reject images that show frames, glare, are not in focus, are low-resolution images, etc.)
Prizes will be awarded at the reception on November 12. We will take a portion of the entry fees to use as awards; therefore, the price to enter this show is $35.00 (instead of $25.00). The amount of each prize (1st, 2nd & 3rd place) will depend on the number of artists entered.
We are also honored to include four Patchwork Studio awards for the Best Watercolors!

Details for Submission:
1. Artwork must be original, created by the artist, and family-friendly. Prints and digital works will not be accepted in this show.
2. Mediums: paintings, photography, abstracts, drawings, ceramics, and sculptures (please see size restrictions for 3-D work).
3. This is a Juried show. Artists may enter up to three pieces, knowing that one, two, or all three may, or may not, be accepted. Artist notification: Tuesday, September 8.
4. There is a $35.00 non-refundable entry fee.
Artwork Catalog:
We will produce an exhibition catalog for this show, so we will ask you to include the following information if you are accepted:
Artist’s name.
Artwork title, size, medium & price.
Artist contact information that you would like included in the catalog (phone, email, website, and/or social media handles)
A short description of your piece and what inspired it (150 words limit.)
All artists are encouraged to attend the
Reception & Awards Presentation on Thursday, November 12, from 6:30 to 8:00pm at the Schoolhouse.
Open to the public, the reception will be a chance to engage with fellow artists and art enthusiasts, so bring your friends and family.
An additional prize for "People's Choice" will be awarded at the reception. The winning piece will be prominently featured on the PAG website.

We will be creating a booklet of all of the accepted artwork. You will be asked to include a brief paragraph (150-word limit) describing your accepted piece. We will require this by September 8, so think about what you would like to say, and have it ready in case your piece is selected to be included in the show.
Reception & Awards Presentation: Date/Time: Thursday, November 12, 6:30-8:00pm. Attendees can explore the collection up close and join us for live music, light snacks, and fun conversation. The reception is free and open to the public. Bring your friends & family.
People’s Choice Voting: September 19 through November 12. The winning artwork will be announced at the reception.
Pick-Up Date/Time: Thursday, November 12, following the reception, and Saturday, November 14, 8:30-10:00am
Mediums allowed: Open to Parker Artists Guild Members working in any of the following mediums: drawing, painting (oil, watercolor, acrylic, etc.), photography, and sculpture (any material). Artwork must be original and created by the artist (no paint-by-numbers, AI, digital, copied artwork, etc).
PAG Members of all backgrounds and experience levels are encouraged to apply.
Preparing Artwork:
Framing & Presentation:
– All artwork must be ready to hang. We require secure, wired pieces with secure D-rings.
– Do not submit anything with sawtooth hangers, eye hooks, or any other hanging device other than secure wire, as they are not compatible with our hanging system.
– Canvases do not need to be framed if they have finished or gallery-wrapped edges.
– Hanging artwork must not exceed 25 lbs.
Although there are no specific size limitations, PAG reserves the right to exclude large work that we are unable to hang properly, or if the number of artists entering is too great to include large work without excluding deserving artists.
All 3-dimensional entries must be no more than 12” wide, 12” deep, 24” high, and weigh no more than 75 pounds.
Price Limitation: Artists must determine their own prices. “Not for Sale” artwork will not be accepted.
Insurance: The Town of Parker generously insures our work up to $1,000.00 while on display in the Schoolhouse Gallery. (The insurance price should not exceed the asking price on your inventory form.)
This is a Juried Show: Artwork will be accepted into the show on the basis of what you have submitted online as a JPEG image. Be sure to crop out all backgrounds. (No frames, couches, hands, or anything in the background should be visible. Show only your artwork.) Selections will be based on technical skill, and overall artistic merit.
Submission Entries: Maximum of 3 entries, with the possibility of one, two, or all three works accepted for each artist. Submissions must include high-resolution images (for paintings and photographs) or photographs of sculptures, along with titles, medium, dimensions, and asking price. All Artwork must be for sale.
Ineligible Artwork: Artwork that has been in a previous “Best of PAG” show, is deemed inappropriate for viewing by all age groups, or that we are not able to hang properly may be rejected at take-in. The Schoolhouse and Parker Artists Guild reserve the right to refuse any artwork.
Substitution: Artwork will be displayed from September 19 through November 14, 2026. Artwork may not be removed before the end of the show on November 12 or November 14.
Venue Commission: 15% to the Town of Parker.

Advertising: The Parker Artists Guild may use images of artwork entered, for the purpose of advertising our shows within the PAG and Parker Arts community, unless expressly stated otherwise by the artist.

Art in the Park presented by the Parker Artists Guild in partnership with Parker Arts. This juried outdoor art festival is PAG’s primary fundraiser and one of our largest community events of the year.

"In Motion" is a juried exhibition that explores the broad theme of movement in art. Artists are invited to present works that depict motion or evoke the sensation of being in motion. We welcome a wide range of media and styles, encouraging creative interpretations that bring energy and dynamism to life.
Through this collection, viewers will experience the many ways motion can be expressed visually, whether literal or abstract, physical or emotional. The show celebrates the vibrant and ever-changing nature of movement, offering a dynamic and engaging experience for both artists and audiences alike.
